**new** Encyclopedia of Research Design -- a collection of entries covering how to plan and conduct empirical research, including the use of both quantitative and qualitative methods.
International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences  -- Online edition of 26 volume encyclopedia covering all fields of the social and behavioral sciences.  Subjects covered include: anthropology, psychology, demography, economics, education, gender studies, law, linguistics, public policy, sociology, urban planning, etc.
JSTOR -- full text access to scholarly journals in a variety of disciplines
Project Muse -- access to scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences
PsycNET  -- Search both PsycARTICLES & PsycINFO for Psychology articles, dating back to 1872
SocINDEX   --   Full text of journal articles, and indexing and informative abstracts for "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895
Social Science Citation Index  --  provides access to current and retrospective bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references found in over 1,700 of the world's leading scholarly social sciences journals covering more than 50 disciplines 
STAT-USA  -- providing authoritative information from the Federal government. STAT-USA provides access to domestic and international data

  Ulrich's Periodicals Directory -- provides information regarding scholarly status as well as refereed (peer-reviewed) status

Academic Search Premier -- scholarly collection provides journal coverage for most academic areas of study
ATLA Religion Database  -- -- index citations to journal articles, essays in multi-author works, and book reviews
Country Watch -- Provides country-specific data including demographic, political, economic, business, and cultural information.
CQ Researcher  --  covers weekly in-depth original non-biased reporting on major, controversial issues with complete summaries and bibliographies since 1923
ERIC  -- the premier national bibliographic database of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice.
Encyclopędia Britannica Online   -- includes the complete encyclopaedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and the Britannica Book of the Year
**new** Encyclopedia of Religion in America --  a multidisciplinary examination of religion in American life
Global Road Warrior -- Cultural, social, travel and business information about countries around the world
Daily Life through History (replaced Greenwood Daily Life Online and this now combined with Daily Life America)  -- provides information regarding the daily lives of people from civilizations and cultures of the past and the present. The database contains two separate products: Daily Life through History , which is focused on ancient history, and World Cultures Today , which deals with the contemporary world. Coverage includes both Western and Eastern civilizations and cultures.
LexisNexis Academic  -- provides full text and citation access to information in the reference, business, medical, and legal disciplines
Statistical Abstract of the United States  (print copy available at Reference Desk)  -- a summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States, with some international content. It is also used as a guide to other statistical publications and sources. 
Oxford Reference Online Database  -- full text of dictionaries, general reference, language reference, and subject reference works from Oxford University Press  
Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000     --- documents women's activism in public life by bringing together books, images, documents (including primary documents), scholarly essays, commentaries, bibliographies, and links to other websites.

World History: The Modern Era  -- e-book from ABC-CLIO covers world history from 1500 to the present day
