Databases with a scholarly focus:
ComAbstracts -- contains abstracts of articles and books published in the primary professional literature of the communication(s) field as well as bibliographic records and audio materials
Communication & Mass Media Complete -- incorporates CommSearch produced by the National Communication Association and Mass Media Articles Index produced by Penn State. Major areas of coverage include: Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Television, Radio, Communication Theory and more!
International Encyclopedia of Communication -- Spans the breadth of communication studies, including coverage of theories, media and communication phenomena, research methods, problems, concepts, and geographical areas.
PsycNET -- Search both PsycARTICLES & PsycINFO for Psychology articles, dating back to 1872
SocINDEX -- Full text of journal articles, and indexing and informative abstracts for "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895.
Social Science Citation Index -- provides access to current and retrospective bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references found in over 1,700 of the world's leading scholarly social sciences journals covering more than 50 disciplines

	LexisNexis Academic -- provides full text and citation access to information in the reference, business, medical, and legal disciplines
	LexisNexis Congressional -- U.S. legislative information from Congressional Information Services. Includes access to many full-text Congressional publications, bills, laws, regulations, committee information, information about current members of Congress, and much more
	Newspaper Source -- provides full-text access to many local newspapers across the U.S., including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Boston Globe
	Proquest National Newspapers -- provides full-text access to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, and Los Angeles Times.

Academic Search Premier -- scholarly collection provides journal coverage for most academic areas of study
Business Source Premier -- Includes full text for more than 2,300 journals and dates back to 1886
CQ Researcher -- covers weekly in-depth original non-biased reporting on major, controversial issues with complete summaries and bibliographies since 1923
CQ Electronic Library -- a series of databases focusing on American government. The collection includes original content, current information, statistics, analysis, and comprehensive coverage in a range of government-related topics
ERIC -- the premier national bibliographic database of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. The database covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials education literature beginning in 1966 to present
