Databases focused on education:
ERIC   --  the premier national bibliographic database of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. The database covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials education literature beginning in 1966 to present
Education Research Complete  -- a bibliographic and full text database covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing

Social Science Citation Index   --  provides access to current and retrospective bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references found in over 1,700 of the world's leading scholarly social sciences journals covering more than 50 disciplines

Teacher Reference Center -- provides indexing and abstracts for more than 270 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

Academic Search Premier -- scholarly collection provides journal coverage for most academic areas of study
Country Watch -- Provides country-specific data including demographic, political, economic, business, and cultural information.
Encyclopaedia Britannica Online   --  includes the complete encyclopaedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and the Britannica Book of the Year
JSTOR  -- full text access to scholarly journals in a variety of disciplines
LexisNexis Academic  -- provides full text and citation access to information in the reference, business, medical, and legal disciplines
Newspaper Source   -- provides full-text access to many local newspapers across the U.S., including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Boston Globe
Oxford Reference Online Database  --  full text of dictionaries, general reference, language reference, and subject reference works from Oxford University Press
Project Muse  -- access to scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences
Databases with a discipline-specific focus related to education
Mental Measurements Yearbook   -- Mental Measurements Yearbook contains descriptive information and critical reviews of more than 2,000 commercially-available standardized English-language educational, personality, aptitude, neuropsychological, achievement and intelligence tests
Tests in Print  --  "A comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language.  Is directly linked to the critical, candid test reviews published in the Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) series."
PsycNET -- Search both PsycARTICLES & PsycINFO for Psychology articles, dating back to 1872
SocINDEX  --   Full text of journal articles, and indexing and informative abstracts for "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895.
