JSTOR  -- full text access to scholarly journals in a variety of disciplines
Philosopher's Index  -- a bibliographic database with informative author-written abstracts covering scholarly research in the fifteen fields of philosophy, published in journals and books since 1940
Project Muse  -- access to scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences
 
  Reference Databases
  New Catholic Encyclopedia  --  Online encyclopedia covering theology, philosophy, history, literary figures and more
  Oxford Islamic Studies Online -- contains over 3,000 encyclopedia-style articles, chapters from scholarly and introductory works, Qur'anic materials, primary sources, images, and timelines
  PastMasters -- contains the history of political thought and theory, classics, and philosophy in full-text format. It includes such resources as the Works of Charles Darwin, the complete works of Plato and Thomas Aquinas, Kant: Gesammelte Schriften, and political theory from Machiavelli to Mill.
  Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy  -- features articles from international experts across the discipline of philosophy. Topics include Anglo-American, ethical and political, cross-cultural, interdisciplinary, continental and contemporary philosophy
  Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy -- includes articles on people, concepts, books, and other topics in philosophy. The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is a dynamic reference work. Each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. All entries and updates are refereed by the members of a distinguished Editorial Board before they are made public.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online  --  includes the complete encyclopaedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and the Britannica Book of the Year
Oxford Reference Online Database  --  full text of dictionaries, general reference, language reference, and subject reference works from Oxford University Press
