Correspondent Chris Bury reports on how the governments of Italy, Germany, and Egypt have combated terrorism in recent decades. Anchor Ted Koppel interviews two authorities on the new terrorism: military historian Caleb Carr and Paul Bremer, ambassador-at-large for counterterrorism during the Reagan administration. They discuss the evolution of international terrorism and new strategies and tactics being employed by the U.S. to contain and dismantle violent extremist organizations such as el Qaeda.
