Remarkable stories of courage and heriosm include the acquisition of Pegasus Bridge, the welcome given by the newly liberated French, the brave rangers at Pointe du Hoc, the battle for Omaha Beach, and the Piper, Bill Millin, who played his bagpipes waist deep in water all the way from the landing craft to the shore, then inland through France.
