Born in the 19th century Russia, Tchaikovsky led a life crowned with success. In the wings of an Italian theatre and against a romantic countryside backdrop, dancers and actors poignantly enact various facets of the composers intimate life: his relationship with his wife Antonina, his strange ties to Baroness von Meck, his patron and the persecution complex that led ultimately to his death.
