Resources for College Libraries
Published in 2007, Resources for College Libraries (RCL) is the successor to Books for College Libraries, 3d ed (1988). It is the premier benchmarking tool for academic libraries. It covers 58 subject areas with over 65,000 bibliographic entries representing books deemed essential to academic libraries. The selections are based upon the review and recommendation of subject specialists in the academic realm. The 7 volume print version has been checked against Buhl’s collection, although this cannot be reflected in the online version. With the assistance of some of our faculty, additional selections have been made and added to the collection. The online version is updated regularly to include the most recently published works.
