How Do I Find the Full-Text of an Article …

Find an article you need, but it’s not full text? Use our A to Z List of Journals to see if access to the article is available elsewhere.

Step 1: Open the A to Z List of Journals (available directly on our main page or through our Quick Jump to … drop-down menus)

Step 2: Copy and Paste (or Type) the name of the journal your article is located in (Remember…type the Journal title, not the Article title!)

Oval Callout:   Copy and Paste (or Type) the journal title here.
Click Search.

Step 3: Determine if we have the journal you need AND the appropriate year.

Rectangular Callout: Note the dates available  ----   Articles published before or after these dates, will NOT be available online.
If your date is not available, click on Print Holdings (if listed). This will take you into HENRY.   Search for the same Journal Title.  We may have your article in print.

Note: Some journals list an embargo period. This means that the electronic access to the journal is delayed for a specific period of time.

Example:

Using the above embargo period, if you needed to access a journal from April 2007 in June of 2008, the article will be available. However, if you need June 2007 in May of 2008, you will not have access.

Step 4: Accessing a journal NOT available on the Journal List  ----  If you have followed these steps and are still unable to locate your article, you will need to fill out a Document Delivery form. These forms can be picked up at the Reference Desk or you may print your own form.
