Frequently used subject headings -- Note that subject-heading format for history differs somewhat from those for other majors.  "History" infrequently stands alone but is a descriptor of another subject heading.  Follow the pattern of county--history--time period or other subject.  Selected samples of these and other types of history-related subject headings follow.
